Welcome the newest member to our family...

Labor went relatively well. Started out by having minor contractions that didn't hurt, but were pretty regular, so Joel and I decided to head to the hospital around 7:00 p.m. on the 14th (my actual due date). Once we got to the hospital I was dilated to a 4 and almost 100% effaced. The nurses got me all set up with I.V.'s and the count down was on. When I was at a 5, the anesthesiologist suggested I get my epidural now since my water could break at any moment, and once it did, my contractions would really start coming. So I did, and boy was it a different experience from when I had Ellie and didn't get my epidural til 2min. before she arrived. Ha! Crew did get a little stressed at this point, but all turned out well. Once I got to a 5 1/2 it was only a matter of minutes before I was already at a 9... I guess I progress pretty quickly. No one was expecting this and before we knew it Crew was ready to come and my doctor hadn't even arrived to the hospital yet. I was a little nervous, but I had an amazing nurse who was able to deliver him. Once I was in position, he just kind of fell out, I didn't even push. Someone was a little eager to get to earth, ha! Poor Dr. Beck showed up just in time for clean up duty :)
We feel so blessed he is FINALLY here and couldn't be happier.

ALMOST THERE!

This was the night of my Due date. October 14th. Still no baby :) Any day now, I cant tell you how ready I was for our little guy to come. The count down is on!

LITTLE READER

Ellie has decided she likes to read books All By Herself before she goes to bed at night. She must get that from seeing Joel and I reading in bed at nights on occasion. Anyways I went into her room after a few minutes and this is what I found. I thought it was so cute. This book must have really exhausted her.

NICE GET AWAY

Our little Cow Girl!
Enjoying the beautiful weather. It was so nice!
Ellie and Billy
Our little cow girl got to ride a horse all by herself. Joel was a nervous wreck the whole time, Ha! Jason was nice enough to take El on quite the horse ride. Ellie could have gone around and around all day if we would have let her. She kept saying she wanted to go faster and kicking the horse on the sides, luckily for us her kicks weren't hard enough to have an effect and she was riding a really good horse. :)
Being 8 months pregnant in the middle of August is definitely not something I would recommend. With the temperatures being high and a little humidity, I told Joel I needed to get away and enjoy some cooler weather. We were fortunate enough to visit Joel's older bro and family in Joseph City, AZ once again and escape some of the heat. Not to mention have a little fun too! Thanks again Jason and Family, Its always fun spending time with you guys!

GIRLS LUNCH

Its always so much fun getting together with family. All of us girls were able to get together for my Aunt Carolyn's birthday and have a nice lunch.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Aunt Carolyn, we love you!

FARMER GIRL

One of Ellie's favorite things to do at the "Farm" is feed the chickens. She absolutely loves the way the chickens follow her and come running when she calls for them.
Its so funny to watch her take charge and pick them up like they are still baby chicks, which is obvious that they are not. Shes definitely turned into my little farmer girl and I love it!

WARDROP REUNION

Let the tournaments begin! We split into 4 teams and had a fun day full of various games. Unfortunately "Team yellow" was stuck with both Tarryn and I (the two prego girls) they just counted us as one, Ha, sorry team:)
Soccer was a little challenging for me, so Ellie and I just stood in the middle of the field, Ha! We definitely cheered on our team though! That's Kyley's FIANCE in the middle. He got to join in on the fun, Congrats you two! Welcome to the family Broc.
Volley ball was my favorite, but I can't say I helped out my team that much. Wouldn't say its one of my stronger sports. We were able to beat one of the four teams, so that says something, right?:)
"GG" and Grandpa-great enjoying some yummy ice cream while watching the events.
Swimming fun with Aunt Ky and "Ganma"
"Bathing Beauty"
The boys all played a mean game of water basketball. It was a blast to watch!
We love the pool!

NEWPORT BEACH

Watching the kite flyer's
Ellie wasn't too thrilled to go in the freezing cold water with aunt Ky. The waves were a little intimidating to her this year.

Too cute! These cousins love each other!

Getting buried in the sand... so much fun!

This year was a little cooler than most, so unfortunately playing in the water wasn't as inviting as usual. We still had a great time playing in the sand and enjoying the view. We filled this play pool with warm water so the girls could enjoy it. It was like there very own hot tub on the beach. We had fun with all the family and friends that came and can't wait to do it again next year. Thanks for all the fun!

Cousin Carter and El enjoying a nice stroll along the trail

This was our backyard of the cabin. Isn't it beautiful?

The end of June we were able to visit Joel's side of the family in Idaho for our yearly Hendricks family reunion. We rented a cabin for a few days in a place called Island Park and had such a blast. The scenery was beautiful and ended up being the perfect getaway. I liked that we were all so called "trapped" in the cabin and able to spend some quality time together. Ellie was so excited to be with her cousins and enjoy the outdoors. This is a family tradition I definitely hope to do again. Thanks to Joel's parents, Sam and Joelene for this great reunion. We love you guys!

OUR LITTLE FISH

So far this summer we have spent many days in the swimming pool, we cant seem to get enough. Ellie is quite the fish and could spend days on end swimming if I would let her. I will have to say she tends to be a little over confident when it comes to swimming on her own, which scares me to death. But she's getting better! She wants to be like the big kids sooo bad. Every once in a while I have to stop her and make her take a break just so I know shes getting enough air, ha! What a determined little girl she is.
